Seattle Day Trip #2

On the first full day of the trip, we headed down to Bremerton to take the ferry to Seattle. We retraced many of our steps, but this time were prepared with a strategy. With limited mobility between my pregnant, toddler-toting sister and cane-carrying grandfather, we wanted to know exactly where we were going and how we were going to get there.

As always, the ride on the ferry was a nice treat and let us all hang out instead of sit in our two cars separated from each other. My grandpa found some great guitarists playing outside too.

Once we got off the ferry, we started at the library for the cool view at the top. The view wasn't quite as spectacular as I had remembered from a previous visit, but still cool enough and more importantly free.

More after the jump!

After that, we headed down the hill for the waterfront and Ivar's. This picture is an accurate depiction of how much I did not want to get spilled on.

And supervising the dipping process...

From there we walked to the elevator to Pike Place Market, took an obligatory look at the first Starbucks, and watched the fish get tossed around.

The monk fish was terrifying.

After that we took the monorail to Seattle City Center to see the Space Needle. There was a Delorean right outside the monorail exit, so we had to take a picture. Back to the Future is Tyler's favorite trilogy.

Uncle Brett giving Cecily a ride and Tyler found me a sweet flower.

We hurried home to beat rush hour traffic and get some food from Costco. Cecily is apparently a huge fan of Costco hot dogs.
