What I'm Reading: Vol. 3

I just started The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. It was the first novel by a woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. I'm about a hundred pages in and enjoying it so far, aside from the kind of whiny narrator. At least it's more lighthearted than my last read.

It's fascinating to look at how different society was in 1870's New York City. The novel was published in the same year that women finally had the right to vote, and the narrator's musings on women from his male perspective are really interesting. My only problem now is that I can't picture the characters for myself after seeing the movie poster with Daniel Day-Lewis, Winona Ryder, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
