In general, this blog is a place to keep long-distance family and friends up to speed on our lives. I record our travels, blog about hobbies (e.g. knitting, writing, sketching, ukulele-ing), reminisce about my pre-internet childhood, and in general, just write about stuff I like.
Before starting Kate and Fleet, I wrote about the ups and downs of living and working in France as an English teacher on my blog Katrina La Voyageuse. I lived with a host family in a tiny town called Bourg-St.-Andéol in the department of Ardèche. It was a wonderful, immersive experience into French language and culture, and I encourage all young Francophiles to check out the Teaching Assistant Program in France. The application is open from October to January 15th every year with opportunities to teach in France, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion.
Thanks for reading!
